3N Productions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a video cost? There are many factors that influence costs. The usual figure given in the industry is $1,000 to $5,000 per finished minute for quality productions. The price of production varies based on length of video, number of locations, talent costs, and equipment needs. The more involved the video, the more the production will cost. 3N Productions will work with you to determine what would be best for your needs.

What can video do for me? Video is an extremely versatile medium. Whether you are demonstrating a new product or service - video is the answer. With broadband internet becoming part of a business marketing strategy, web videos have become an effective medium to deliver your message. Studies indicate that video communicates complex messages up to 60 percent more effectively than print media.

What happens after we mutually agree to move forward? We will:

  1. Send you an Agreement and Production Schedule for your approval.
  2. Guide you through our concept development survey that will help you to refine your story. Together we will craft a working script of ideas for your approval.
  3. Confirm shooting locations and logistics for your business and our production crew.
  4. Videotape and edit your video story with our Emmy award winning team.
  5. Deliver your video story in its final format – DVD, Website, etc.

How good is your equipment? Whether your video is to be used for in-house training, as a marketing piece for your website or to air on broadcast television all productions are videotaped and edited with state of the-art-technology. Your video story may include field production on location, i.e. your place of business or studio production or both.

What is a typical timeline? It depends on your schedule and deadlines. Preproduction which includes scripting and scheduling usually takes one to two weeks. Production usually takes one to two weeks, again depending on how many locations, availability of on camera talent, etc. Post-production usually takes two to three weeks. Again this may vary, the longer the project and the amount of graphics, special effects, etc. increases videotaping and editing timelines.

How long should my video be? For a broadcast commercial or public service announcements the lengths are 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.

For a corporate or non-profit video the optimal lengths are 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes.

For broadcast programming 30 to 60 minutes.

Who owns the copyright on the video? You do.

What is the mission of 3N Productions? Our goal through the art of storytelling and our technical craftsmanship is to be a significant part of YOUR success.
